What exactly are Invention Submission and Promotion Services?
Inventions Submission and Promotion Services are used by inventors to assist them to prepare or document their inventions in a meaningful way so as to be able to submit them to industry, manufacturers and other agencies for review and licensing. INVENTConnect also provide direct support with marketing, advertising, promotions through Press Releases, Website promotions, News and Press Articles, Summary Brochures through online and print media and one on one representation.
How much will all this support cost me?
Thankfully, nearly every idea is different. There is no initial cost to be able to speak to our experienced staff at all, whether it is in person or over the phone. Once we have both signed a statement of confidentiality and non use agreement, we can document your idea under confidential circumstances and we will discuss all the costs that may be associated with preparing your idea for presentation to corporations for licensing. There is absolutely no obligation to use us or our services or to continue working with us and we will not pressure you to reach any decision straight away.
How do I know you're not going to steal my idea?
INVENTConnect are as concerned about protecting your idea as you are. One of the first and most important documents you will receive from us is a statement of confidentiality and non-use agreement, which will allow you to disclose the idea or invention to us without making it public knowledge. It is also a record of you disclosing your idea your claim of ownership to it. Only once the document is signed by both parties, we will discuss the idea with you. We consider confidentiality a top priority when working with all our clients and you will find that we consider it highly throughout all our relationships with you.
Can I get some free advice on the telephone?
In most cases, we will discuss initial opportunities and make suggestions of a basic nature at no charge, however we cannot give any serious advice on the telephone without first gathering some full and accurate information from you, and often after examining or exchanging invention drawings, documents and agreements which may perhaps require a face-to-face meeting.
When we have a professional service telephone consultation with a client, we also need to charge a fee for our time.

Design Patent protects the way an article "looks" i.e., the aesthetics of the article. Design Patents offer very little protection, except in special cases, and we rarely recommend you consider applying them. Remember to seek advice from a Patent Attorney regarding Patents.
Must I have a Patent?
We strongly advise that you obtain protection over your Patent by lodging a Provisional or Complete Application through a Patent Attorney or with IP Australia.

Only, limited protection. For example, specific information submitted with your application should remain confidential. Disclosing detailed information about your invention such as specifications, photographs etc. may give away the exact nature of it and may jeopardise a Patent from being granted.
